. a) juniper savanna (above Tyhee Lake) + Burnt Cabin Bog Ecological Reserve 9:45 am -- 5:00 pm valleybottom field trip to (1) dry warm ridge with juniper savanna and scrub-steppe (red-listed plant associations); (2) wetland complex (swamp, fen, bog) [J. Pojar]
. b) Hudson Bay Mountain + Smithers Community Forest 9:45 am -- 5:00 pm (1) high elevation field trip to subalpine parkland, meadows, and alpine tundra (beyond ski hill; we drive to timberline); (2) nature trail through montane forest and wetland (K. McKeown)
