BOTANY BC 2022 - Strathcona Park



28/July/2022- Thank you to all the participants and volunteers who helped make Botany BC 2022 a rousing success. A huge special thank you to our knowledgeable and intrepid walk leaders: Jack Bindernagel, Jocie Brooks, Harry Crosby, Steve Hayward, Loys and Alison Maingon and our enthusiastic and insightful speakers: Loys Maingon & Randal Mindell.

19/July/2022- - An updated program and a location map for the area of Strathcona Provincial Park we are exploring have been added to the Botany BC 2022 file menu.

18/July/2022- - A 'Paradise Meadows & area' plant list has been added to the Botany BC drop down menu.

12/July/2022- The 'Hike Preference Survey' has been added to the Botany BC drop down menu.

4/July/2022- Botany BC is back on-line!

We are pleased to announce that Botany BC is partnering with the Strathcona Wilderness Institute (SWI) Society to present Botany BC 2022 on Friday July 22nd and Saturday July 23rd, 2022.

This year's event will feature botanical forays into the beautiful and scenic Strathcona Park located near the Comox Valley on central Vancouver Island.

We will be centered out of the Strathcona Park Wilderness Centre, next to the Nordic Centre, at Mt. Washington Alpine Resort. Details including the most recent program and maps etc can be found in the drop down 2022 File Menu. As more information becomes available it will be posted so stay tuned.
